Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £80 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

The Role:
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be supporting students who have behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with the SEN team and teaching staff to implement behaviour management strategies, build positive relationships, and help students engage with their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them access the curriculum and reach their potential.
- Assist in the implementation of individual behaviour plans and strategies in line with the school’s policies.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Develop positive, supportive relationships with students to build their confidence and self-esteem.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide holistic support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents, and report to relevant staff as required.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive, empathetic, and resilient individual who can motivate and inspire students facing behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural difficulties, ideally in a school setting.
- A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A positive, flexible approach and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or behaviour management are desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Worker or similar role is highly valued.
