Ortus Recruitment is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to support a child in a year 2 class with challenging behaviour, as a Teaching Assistant at a reputable mainstream primary school in Putney. This role will be a full-time vacancy which will last the whole academic year for the successful candidate. If you impress the Senior Leadership Team throughout your time with the school, this could also lead to a temp to perm.

Please note: You must be able to trial immediately and have no notice period. A fully enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service will be necessary or you must be willing to apply for a DBS immediately.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• Recent Graduate
• A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
• Available to work Full-Time: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 4pm)

Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are seeking an individual who:

• Has experience working with children in relevant capacities such as coaching, nannying, or tutoring
• Possesses a ‘Can do’ attitude and a passion for helping children develop life skills
• Is adept at building positive rapport with both staff and students
• Can start immediately and commit to full-time, long-term work

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

• Support a child in a Year 2 Class as well as supporting other aspects in the classroom alongside the Class Teacher
• Conduct 1:1 intervention with the child in question to enable them to enhance their learning
• Assist with administrative tasks such as marking class/homework and managing reading diaries
