A primary school in Brentford, Hounslow, is looking for an enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to provide support as students prepare for their Key Stage 2 SATs and transition to secondary school.

The Role:
As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, working closely with students who need additional support in subjects like literacy and numeracy. You will also provide emotional and academic support as they navigate the challenges of their final year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide small group and individual support to Year 6 students in core subjects.
• Assist in preparing students for their SATs, ensuring they are confident and prepared.
• Help manage classroom behaviour, encouraging positive engagement and focus.
• Support students with any additional needs, including those with SEN.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.

About You:

• Experience working with upper Key Stage 2 students, particularly Year 6.
• Ability to support students in literacy, numeracy, and SATs preparation.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and supportive approach to learning.
