A primary school in Hanworth is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teaching Assistant to help students make progress in their learning and prepare for the challenges of upper Key Stage 2.

The Role:
As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will assist the class teacher in providing high-quality learning experiences for students. You will work with individuals and small groups, including students who may need extra support with their literacy and numeracy skills, or those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support for Year 5 students across various subjects, including literacy, numeracy, and science.
• Lead small group interventions for students needing additional support.
• Assist the class teacher in preparing lessons and materials that engage and challenge students.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, encouraging learning environment.
• Support the social and emotional development of students, helping them build confidence and independence.

About You:

• Experience working in a primary school, ideally with upper Key Stage 2 students.
• Understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and strategies to support learning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and flexible attitude towards supporting students’ needs.
