Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wembley, London Borough of Brent
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
Salary: £425 – £525 per week (PAYE, NO Umbrella Deductions) Depending on experience

Our client, a highly respected mainstream primary school based in Wembley, Brent, is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide one-to-one support to KS1 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with ASD and SEMH needs, ensuring their learning and emotional needs are met.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualised educational and behaviour plans.
• Promote positive social interaction and emotional resilience, helping the child engage and develop relationships with peers.
• Adapt and follow personalised learning plans, making adjustments as the child progresses.
• Ensure a safe, structured learning environment that supports both personal development and academic growth.

Key Requirements:

• DBS on the Update Service (essential).
• Experience working with SEN children, particularly those with ASD and SEMH needs.
• Minimum 3-6 months of experience in a primary school or related educational setting.
• Compassionate, patient, and proactive with a strong commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• A team player, capable of working collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure the child’s success.
