Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact on their education? Our partnered mainstream primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Mentor to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil.

Position: 1:1 Learning Mentor
Location: Wandsworth, London
Contract: Full-time, long-term position
Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a KS2 child, focusing on academic, emotional, and social development.
• Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil’s engagement, progress, and well-being.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and ensure the pupil’s needs are met.
• Encourage positive behaviour, build confidence, and help the pupil overcome any barriers to learning.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, staff, and external agencies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar support role within a primary school setting.
• Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly in a 1:1 capacity.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both the child and school staff.
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
