1:1 Teaching Assistant | Hounslow

Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviour? Do you have an assertive but patient approach to teaching and development?

Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a resilient and proactive individual to take on the fulfilling role of a SEN Teaching Assistant to support and encourage a children who exhibit challenging behaviour. You will be working in a behaviour unit where the children’s ages are mixed with KS1 & KS2.

The pupils in the unit will have a range of complex needs with Autism being the most common. There will be some personal care involved as well.

**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4.00pm)**

The role:

The successful individual will have a firm but fair approach and will be passionate about aiding in the academic, social and emotional development of children with additional needs.

You will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups as well.

**Individuals with mentoring experience or with behaviour management experience in a school setting will be ideal!**

Main Expectations:

• Strong behaviour management
• Experience working with SEN children
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
