Behaviour Mentor

Location: Ealing, London
Salary: £80-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant school in Ealing. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students displaying challenging behaviours, offering 1:1 or small group support.
  • Implement strategies to help manage behaviour and encourage positive social interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and senior staff to develop individual behaviour plans.
  • Promote a calm and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and emotional support to students.
  • Help students improve self-regulation and coping skills through targeted interventions.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour, preferably within a school setting.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other associated needs.
  • A background in education, youth work, or social work.
  • Relevant qualifications in behaviour management or education.
