Our partnered mainstream primary school based in Brixton is setting up a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision and wishes to recruit a passionate individual to take on the role of Resource Base Facilitator.

This is a unique professional development opportunity which will appeal to those who have the ability to work on their own initiative and an interest in supporting pupils with a variety of SEMH and learning needs to help them reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the SENCo and will, ideally, have SEN experience and/or the Level 4 award in supporting children and young people with SEMH needs. You will join a team that provides high-quality education and care in a stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group interventions to support pupils with SEMH needs under the direction of the SENCo.
• Support the emotional well-being of students by implementing strategies to help them manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure that the support provided is aligned with the pupils’ individual needs.
• Maintain an inclusive and nurturing environment that encourages pupils to engage with their learning and develop their social and emotional skills.
• Keep accurate records of pupil progress and liaise regularly with the SENCo and wider school team.
• Adapt the curriculum and resources to meet the specific learning needs of pupils in the Resource Base.
