A primary school in Cranford is seeking a Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one and small group support to children with additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students who require extra guidance in their academic and social development.

The Role:
As a Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students who have SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment by offering tailored support that meets the needs of individual students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 4 students with SEN.
• Help the class teacher deliver lessons adapted to meet the needs of SEN students.
• Assist with classroom behaviour management and encourage positive social interactions.
• Work with the SENCO to track and monitor student progress.
• Support students’ emotional well-being, ensuring they feel confident and included in all activities.

About You:

• Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• A good understanding of SEN strategies and how to apply them in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting children’s development.
