Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Southall, London
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their educational journey? We’re seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Southall. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children in Key Stage 2, providing crucial academic and pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the KS2 curriculum.
- Support individual students and small groups, particularly in literacy and numeracy, to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate interventions and tailored support.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Assist with planning and preparing resources for lessons, and contribute to the assessment of students’ progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with KS2 students, either in a school setting or in a tutoring/mentoring capacity.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
- Experience or a willingness to work with children with SEN and EAL needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) are desirable.
