Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, London
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning in the classroom, providing tailored assistance where necessary.
  • Support children with their academic and personal development, helping to build their confidence and independence.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities for pupils.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional assistance, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with behaviour management, ensuring they remain focused and engaged in lessons.
  • Assist with lunchtime and playground duties to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
  • Maintain strong communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to monitor pupil progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge or experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude towards helping children achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are an advantage but not essential.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of young learners.
