About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged student with special educational needs (SEN) on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a student in Acton, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support and guidance to a student on a 1:1 basis, adapting to their individual learning needs.
• Implement individualized learning plans, ensuring consistent progress toward academic and personal goals.
• Assist the student with classroom activities, helping to keep them focused and engaged.
• Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to maintain an effective support plan.
• Help with social skills and emotional well-being to support holistic development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
• Knowledge of special educational needs, with an understanding of techniques and strategies to support learning and behavior.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with the student, teachers, and parents.
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
