1:1 Teaching Assistant
Position: Teaching Assistant – Support & Inspire a Student with ASD
Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and personal growth? Do you have experience in learning support, or are you an aspiring teacher eager to make a difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work closely with a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing personalized support that fosters their educational and personal development.
About the Role: In this role, you will:
- Work one-on-one with a student with ASD, focusing on creating a nurturing, engaging environment that promotes their learning.
- Collaborate with skilled teachers, supportive school staff, and the student’s family to tailor the learning experience to the child’s unique needs.
What You’ll Need:
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- A current DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
- Two recent references that speak to your experience and character.
- Previous experience working with children with visual impairments.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for fostering student growth.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Related certifications or qualifications in education or learning support.
- A university degree.
- GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent qualifications.
- Previous experience in roles such as Teaching Assistant, HLTA, cover supervisor, or other child-focused positions.
