We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide vital support to students, helping them thrive both academically and personally.

Role Details:

  • Location: Primary school in [City/Area]
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: £85 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted one-on-one or small-group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Help create a positive and safe learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans, activities, and materials to meet students’ requirements.
  • Support the emotional and social development of students by offering encouragement and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other team members to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a calm, professional manner.

About You:

  • Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust with students.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and adapting to the needs of each child.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in an SEN setting is desirable, but not essential if you have a strong willingness to learn.
