Role Details:
- Location: Primary school in [City/Area]
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Pay Rate: £85 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted one-on-one or small-group support to students with special educational needs.
- Help create a positive and safe learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans, activities, and materials to meet students’ requirements.
- Support the emotional and social development of students by offering encouragement and guidance.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other team members to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a calm, professional manner.
About You:
- Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust with students.
- Passionate about inclusive education and adapting to the needs of each child.
- Reliable, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in an SEN setting is desirable, but not essential if you have a strong willingness to learn.
