Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a positive impact in children’s lives, supporting both their academic and personal development. You will work closely with teachers, supporting children in their learning and helping to create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities that support student learning.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who may need extra help.
- Help manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning environment.
- Support children with their social and emotional development, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
- Prepare and organize resources, materials, and displays for lessons.
- Assist with marking and assessment under the teacher’s direction.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting students’ learning journeys. You will be approachable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive approach to supporting students’ needs.
- A passion for education and helping children reach their potential.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
