A school in Sanderstead is looking for a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support students who require additional assistance in their academic and personal development. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference in young lives.

The Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher to provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 2 students with SEN, including those with autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. Your goal will be to create a positive, supportive learning environment that helps each student thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic tasks, adapting resources to meet their needs.
• Provide emotional support and encourage positive social interactions.
• Help manage behaviour and create a calm and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the SENCO to implement effective support strategies.
• Track and report student progress to inform future planning.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN children, particularly in a Key Stage 1 setting.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and how to create an inclusive environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Caring, flexible, and committed to student development.
