Ortus Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide support to the class teacher as well as engage with pupils 1:1 and in groups.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help class teacher create and plan activities for the pupils.
• Provide 1:1 support and group support with children’s personal development.
• Maintain high levels of dedication, care, and support.
• Focus on each pupil’s social, mental and emotional wellbeing.
• Communicate with teacher and parents regarding the children.

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Problem solving skills, flexibility and adaptability when it comes to children.
• Able to work full-time (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
