Teaching Assistant | Croydon | £85-£100 | Long-Term to Permanent

Ortus Recruitment are partnering with a fantastic, Primary School in Croydon who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to support in their Year 2 Class starting ASAP providing general classroom assistance and delivering interventions to help children raise their attainment in development areas. This a long-term to permanent role, for the academic year at the minimum with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

The role:

Assisting the teacher in delivering work with the children in the class

Supporting children with their classwork, and their reading and writing skills

Planning and leading targeted interventions to support pupils in development areas

Undertaking observations of pupils and contributing to pupil records

Supporting the class teacher with the general management and supervision of the classroom

This role involves accompanying the class for swimming lessons once a week. Therefore, applicants must be able to swim and willing to support children in the pool environment.
