A primary school in Camberwell is looking for a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys making a real difference in the classroom.

The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 1 pupils with SEN, such as speech and language difficulties and sensory needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and activities to individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and social development.
• Use creative strategies to engage and support students emotionally and academically.
• Monitor and record progress, sharing updates with the SENCO.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, especially in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies like visual timetables and sensory play.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusive education.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
