Position: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing, London
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant in a vibrant and welcoming school in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience and work closely with pupils to support their educational journey.
You will play a key role in assisting the teacher with classroom activities, supporting students with their learning, and creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the class teacher during lessons and activities.
- Assist pupils with their learning on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Help prepare classroom resources and materials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging pupil engagement and participation.
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
- Assist in managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as record-keeping and classroom organisation.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Previous experience working with children (formal or informal) is desirable but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
