Ortus recruitment are looking for an individual that is athletic, kind, bubbly and empathetic who is ready to make a different in children’s lives and also advance in their career in the education sector. Similarly, we are looking for someone who is happy to do 1:1 work with children as well as group activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons
• Engage in 1:1 and group session with children
• Help children with their homework or class tasks
• Set up and clean the classroom throughout the day
• Support children with their physical, mental, emotional and social health
• Communicate with the children, parents and other teachers within the school
• Help with creating new activities to keep the children interested and make everyday exciting for them

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred (3-6 months)
• Experience working with SEN children (preferred)
• Passion for working with students with diverse needs
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to difficult situations and behaviours.
• Experience with 1:1 work with children
• Able to communicate well with other people of all backgrounds
• Proactive, kind, dedicated personality
