A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a primary school in Waddon for a Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and welcoming team.

The Role:
In this position, you will provide crucial support for pupils with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in their final year of primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide focused one-on-one and group support to Year 6 pupils with SEN, such as ADHD or SEMH needs.
• Support pupils preparing for SATs with tailored interventions and encouragement.
• Use emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to create effective support plans.
• Foster pupils’ independence as they transition to secondary school.

About You:

• Previous experience supporting SEN pupils, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of effective strategies for working with pupils who have behavioural or emotional challenges.
• Proactive, empathetic, and a strong advocate for inclusive education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
