*SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant | Barnet*

Ortus Recruitment are seeking an experienced SEN specialist TA to join an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated, mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Barnet. If you have prior experience supporting students with SEN on a one-to-one and small group basis and have a nurturing and patient nature, this role is perfect for you.

The role:

You will be working very closely with a child who has SEN, supporting them throughout the year with literacy, numeracy and helping them engage socially and creatively within the classroom. Previous experience with SEN is advantageous, however if you do not, the school would consider those who are enthusiastic about caring for and helping others. Although you will mainly be working on a one-to-one basis, you will also need to aid any other students that require your assistance during lessons.

Requirements:

• Level 3 teaching qualification/ equivalent
• Enhanced DBS on the update service/ willing to apply for one
• 2 references
• Proof of right to work
• Able to work Mon-Fri
