A thriving primary school in Addiscombe is seeking a caring and proactive Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant to help children access a tailored learning environment during this foundational stage of their education.

The Role:
As a Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in assisting pupils with diverse needs to reach their full potential in a supportive early years setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one and in small groups with Nursery pupils with SEN, such as speech and language delays or autism.
• Support the class teacher in creating engaging, inclusive learning activities.
• Use visual communication aids, such as PECs and Makaton, to enhance pupil participation.
• Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement effective support plans.
• Create a nurturing environment where all children feel valued and supported.

About You:

• Experience supporting children in an Early Years or SEN setting.
• Familiarity with early intervention techniques, such as sensory play and communication tools.
• A warm, patient, and encouraging approach to childcare.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
