A vibrant primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for a dedicated Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs.

The Role:
You will play a key role in enhancing the learning experience for Year 4 pupils, helping them thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD and speech delays.
• Adapt teaching resources and activities to suit pupils’ individual learning styles.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective intervention strategies.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Promote positive behaviours and social skills, encouraging independence.

About You:

• Previous experience working with SEN pupils, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach to learning support.
• Knowledge of classroom tools like visual aids and sensory strategies.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff and parents.
