Candidates without classroom based experience however have worked in a background in sports, prison services, police or armed forces will be considered. Any other candidates experienced within mentoring role are encouraged to apply.

Ortus Recruitment are working alongside a fantastic SEN school based in Hayes, London Borough of Hillingdon who are looking to appoint a Learning/Behaviour mentor to support pupils across key stage one and key stage two.
Behaviour Support Assistant role:
- Providing behavioural support to children with a range of needs
- Leading one-to-one sessions and strategising behaviour strategies
- Following lesson plans set by the class teacher
- Running booster sessions to children working below age expected levels
- One-to-one tuition to children who are exceeding age expected levels
- Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around progress of children
- Create bespoke reward plans to help engage children in lessons
Behaviour Support Assistant Requirements:
- Have experience in supporting SEN children
- Have an understanding of the primary school curriculum
- Are excellent team players with fantastic communication skills
- Can go the extra mile to get the best out of the children
- Hold a relevant TA qualification or childcare degree
- Be able to provide 2 references
- Posses a DBS which is on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
- Have the right to work in the UK
