An inspiring primary school in New Addington is seeking a committed Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs.

The Role:
In this position, you’ll work with pupils in their final year of primary education, helping them achieve their full potential academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one and group support for pupils with SEN, such as dyslexia, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Support pupils with preparation for SATs through differentiated learning strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assist in developing pupils’ confidence and readiness for secondary school transitions.
• Foster positive behaviours and resilience in a nurturing classroom environment.

About You:

• Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils with SEN.
• Knowledge of strategies to support academic achievement and emotional regulation.
• Patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• A passion for promoting inclusion and enabling all children to succeed.
