The Role:
As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them engage with their learning environment and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to Reception pupils with SEN, such as speech and language delays or autism.
• Assist in delivering sensory activities to promote engagement and focus.
• Use visual aids and communication tools like PECs and Makaton to enhance learning.
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment where all children feel valued.
• Liaise closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure consistent support for pupil development.

About You:

• Experience supporting young children with SEN in an Early Years setting.
• Understanding of early childhood development and strategies for supporting SEN pupils.
• A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
• Strong organisational and collaboration skills.
