Ortus Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work with our partnered primary school in Wandsworth. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and who believes in the limitless potential of every child. Position Overview:

As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who has SEND, supporting them throughout the school day, including with their personal care needs. Your role will involve fostering a supportive and encouraging environment to ensure the child’s academic, social, and emotional development. This position is ideal for someone who is creative, compassionate, and committed to making a real difference in a child’s education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the pupil with SEND throughout the school day, ensuring their individual needs are met, including personal care.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to provide targeted interventions and support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the pupil to reach their full potential.
• Work closely with the pupil’s family and other professionals to ensure consistent and holistic support.
• Uphold and promote the school’s core values of excellence, respect, courage, and perseverance.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to build strong relationships with children.
• Able to work as part of a team and engage collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
• Creative, imaginative, and proactive in identifying solutions to challenges.
• Committed to upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting a safe environment for all children.
