A welcoming SEN school in Croydon is looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves working with pupils who require tailored support to access education and thrive in a safe, sensory-rich setting.

The Role:
You will support children with PMLD to access sensory and therapeutic learning experiences, working closely with teachers, therapists, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including feeding, changing, and mobility support.
• Deliver sensory-based learning activities to engage pupils with diverse needs.
• Use communication aids such as PECs, Makaton, or assistive devices (training provided).
• Encourage positive engagement and build a strong rapport with pupils.
• Help implement individualised learning and care plans.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with PMLD or complex needs is desirable.
• A compassionate and resilient approach, with attention to detail.
• Willingness to provide personal care and work with mobility equipment (training available).
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
