Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, term-time only
The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barnet. In this role, you will work closely with children who require additional support, providing tailored assistance to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to children with special educational needs
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Implementing individual learning plans and adapting activities to suit the child’s needs
- Encouraging social development and building confidence
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for education and supporting children’s development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) – desirable but not essential
