Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

A specialist SEMH school in Purley is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
You will provide academic and emotional support to students who require additional guidance due to SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships to support students with SEMH challenges.
- Provide classroom and pastoral support, helping to manage behaviour and engagement.
- Use de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation strategies.
- Work with teachers and therapists to implement individual support plans.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence and resilience in their learning.
About You:
- Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a patient approach.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with young people.
- A proactive and flexible mindset to adapt to different situations.
