Do you have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)?
A specialist autism school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide structured support for students with ASC.

The Role:

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide a nurturing and structured learning environment for children with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with ASC in both academic and social development.
• Use PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods to aid learning.
• Implement sensory-friendly strategies to help students stay engaged.
• Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management techniques.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to follow individual education plans (IEPs).

About You:

• Experience supporting children with ASC in an educational setting is desirable.
• Understanding of sensory needs and communication strategies.
• Patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with students.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability skills.
