Do you have a passion for supporting children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)?
A well-respected SEN school in Croydon is seeking a caring and patient Teaching Assistant to provide essential support for students with complex needs.

The Role:

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support to students with PMLD, ensuring they have access to a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pupils with personal care, feeding, and mobility support (training provided).
• Use sensory-based learning techniques to engage students.
• Support students in physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions.
• Work closely with speech and language therapists to support communication.
• Create a nurturing environment that promotes independence and confidence.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with PMLD or complex medical needs is desirable.
• A patient and empathetic nature, with a willingness to assist with personal care.
• Understanding of sensory processing and alternative communication methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
