If you are a hardworking individual who enjoys working with children and would like to further develop your experience, then this is a great opportunity. Previous experience with children will be required whether that has been in the education sector or not.

You will also need a fully enhanced DBS on the update service, be able to provide two references and be available for full time work in order to apply for this role. The role operates from Monday-Friday from approximately 8:30am-4pm.

The successful applicant will be placed in a Year 6 class and will be responsible for the students’ learning and wellbeing throughout the year. A strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum will be required as the children have their SATs examinations at the end of the year.

Role responsibilities:

• Preparing students for secondary school
• Monitor students and track their progress
• Identify if any of the children in the class need additional support
• Planning and providing educational lessons for the class with the teacher
• Being involved in the school community.

The school is graded “outstanding” by Ofsted and has a dedicated team of staff and SLT. A range of great facilities are provided with opportunities to partake and help out in extra curricular activities. The school also work closely with surrounding secondary schools in the area.

As it is located in Sutton, there are many transport links nearby including a local station. It is easy to commute to if you drive or use public transport.
