SEN Teaching Assistant – Complex Needs
Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Do you have a passion for supporting children with complex learning needs?
A specialist SEN school in Croydon is looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to support KS2 students with a range of learning difficulties, including ASD, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities.
The Role:
You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored learning support, ensuring each child can access education in a way that suits their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with complex learning needs.
- Assist with communication development, including the use of PECS and Makaton.
- Support students with sensory processing and emotional regulation.
- Help with personal care and mobility (training provided).
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
About You:
- Experience working with children with complex SEN needs is desirable.
- Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to making a difference.
- Understanding of alternative communication methods and sensory needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow individual education plans (IEPs).
