Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

A highly regarded SEN school in Thornton Heath is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide structured support for KS3 students with autism.
The Role:
You will work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to create a supportive learning environment, helping students develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with ASC in structured classroom and one-to-one settings.
- Use visual timetables and structured routines to support engagement.
- Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Support students in developing communication and social interaction skills.
- Work closely with therapists and teachers to implement individual learning plans.
About You:
- Experience working with children with ASC in an educational setting is desirable.
- Understanding of sensory needs and autism-specific teaching strategies.
- Patient, calm, and able to build trust with students.
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach.
