Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)?
A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for a patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 student with autism. The role focuses on helping the child develop communication, social, and learning skills in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support for a Year 2 student with ASC.
• Use PECS, Makaton, or other communication strategies to aid learning.
• Implement sensory-friendly activities to promote engagement.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
• Help the student develop social interaction and self-regulation skills.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with autism in a school setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication methods is an advantage.
• A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow SEN support plans.
