Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have a passion for early years education and supporting children with speech and language difficulties?
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with Reception pupils who require speech and language intervention.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for children with speech delays.
• Use language development techniques such as visual aids, repetition, and structured play.
• Work closely with the school’s speech and language therapist to deliver targeted support.
• Encourage confidence in communication through fun and engaging activities.
• Support students in developing early literacy and social interaction skills.

About You:

• Experience working with children with speech and language needs is desirable.
• Understanding of phonics and early language development.
• A patient, engaging, and encouraging approach.
• Ability to work well with both students and staff.
