Have you recently completed an Education degree at university and are enthusiastic about helping children in our partnered primary school reach their full potential in an educational setting? Graduates with experience/little experience are welcome to apply.

Ortus recruitment are looking for an individual that is athletic, kind, bubbly and empathetic who is ready to make a different in children’s lives and also advance in their career in the education sector. Similarly, we are looking for someone who is happy to do 1:1 work with SEN children as well as group activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons
• Engage in 1:1 and group session with children
• Help children with their homework or class tasks
• Set up and clean the classroom throughout the day
• Support children with their physical, mental, emotional and social health
• Communicate with the children, parents and other teachers within the school
• Help with creating new activities to keep the children interested and make everyday exciting for them

Requirements:

• Education/Psychology (any degree related to education sector) degree
• Face to face experience working with children in a classroom setting
• Experience working with SEN children (preferred)
• Passion for working with students with diverse needs
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to difficult situations and behaviours.
• Experience with 1:1 work with children
• Able to communicate well with other people of all backgrounds
• Proactive, kind, dedicated personality
• Good time management skills and dedication to the job
