Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is excited to partner with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Balham, London, who are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity to work closely with students with complex needs, providing the support they need to thrive and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and work collaboratively with teachers to deliver personalized learning to ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with SEN or complex needs.
- Assist in delivering personalized lessons and helping students access the curriculum.
- Promote emotional and social development by encouraging positive behaviour.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of each student.
- Contribute to the development of personalized learning plans and track student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working with SEN students or those with complex needs.
- Strong ability to offer 1:1 support in a child-centred approach.
- Resilience, a proactive attitude, and a passion for making a positive impact in students’ lives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Enhanced DBS check or the willingness to apply for one.
