A welcoming primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support Reception children who require additional help with speech and language development.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group speech and language support.
• Use visual aids, social stories, and structured play to enhance communication.
• Work closely with the school’s speech and language therapist to deliver targeted interventions.
• Support early phonics and language development through engaging activities.
• Encourage confidence in verbal and non-verbal communication.

About You:

• Experience working with children with speech and language difficulties is desirable.
• Understanding of early language development strategies.
• A patient, engaging, and enthusiastic approach to learning.
• Ability to work well with both students and staff.
