Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?
A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 student with SEMH challenges.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 5 pupil with SEMH needs.
- Help the student manage emotions, build self-esteem, and develop coping strategies.
- Use positive behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Encourage engagement in learning through a structured and supportive approach.
- Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teacher to implement individual support plans.
About You:
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
- A calm, consistent, and patient approach to support emotional regulation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is an advantage.
