A fantastic primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide general learning support in a Year 2 classroom, assisting students with mild to moderate additional needs.

The Role:

• Work with small groups and individual students in Year 2 to support literacy and numeracy development.
• Adapt learning materials to make lessons accessible for all students.
• Provide support for students with mild learning difficulties, helping with focus and engagement.
• Assist with fine motor skill activities and handwriting practice.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement targeted support plans.

About You:

• Previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs is desirable.
• A patient and encouraging approach to learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
