Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have experience supporting children with autism and sensory processing needs?
A vibrant primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and sensory processing difficulties.
The Role:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 5 student with autism, adapting learning activities to suit their needs.
- Implement sensory breaks and calming strategies to help with self-regulation.
- Use visual timetables, social stories, and communication aids to support understanding.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop effective strategies.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where the student can thrive.
About You:
- Experience supporting children with ASC and sensory needs is desirable.
- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and structured routines.
- A calm, patient, and positive approach to learning support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
