Do you have a passion for supporting children with Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD) and speech delays?
A welcoming primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 student with MLD and speech difficulties, helping them build confidence in communication and learning.

The Role:

• Work closely with a Year 2 student, adapting learning materials to support their understanding.
• Assist with speech and language interventions under the guidance of the SENCO and speech therapist.
• Use visual aids, Makaton, and structured routines to support communication.
• Provide small group and one-to-one support in literacy and numeracy.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with MLD and speech delays is desirable.
• Knowledge of speech and language strategies, such as Makaton or PECS, is a plus.
• A patient and engaging approach to learning support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and specialists.
