A friendly and inclusive primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 5 student with ASD, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one classroom support for a Year 5 student with ASD.
• Implement structured routines and visual schedules to aid engagement.
• Use sensory and communication strategies to support learning.
• Assist in social skills development and encourage positive peer interactions.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to follow an EHCP.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with ASD is desirable.
• Understanding of sensory needs and communication techniques.
• A patient, calm, and adaptable approach to SEN support.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
