We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our pupils in reaching their full potential.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students’ learning, both in the classroom and in small group settings. You will play a key role in ensuring that all children, including those with additional needs, feel encouraged and supported throughout their school journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who need extra help.
- Support children with special educational needs (SEND) where required.
- Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
- Supervise students during break times and other school activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ development.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with children. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with primary-aged children (preferred but not essential).
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
