A specialist primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with Key Stage 1 (KS1) students who require additional support due to a range of learning difficulties.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for KS1 children with complex needs.
• Assist with sensory-based learning activities and alternative communication methods.
• Support children with mobility, personal care, and structured learning plans.
• Work alongside therapists and specialist SEN staff to support holistic development.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

About You:

• Experience working with children with complex SEN needs is desirable.
• Knowledge of sensory integration, PECS, or Makaton is a bonus.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to SEN support.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
